The Role
The Opportunity
Are you detail-oriented, inquisitive, and ready to build a meaningful career in financial compliance? We are looking for a driven Compliance Analyst to join our team. Whether you already hold compliance experience or are transitioning from a corporate administration or related background, we would be delighted to hear from you.
This role offers direct exposure to AML/CFT frameworks, KYC processes, and FSC regulatory requirements — giving you the practical depth to grow into a senior compliance professional.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence screening of new and existing clients
- Verify, review, and maintain KYC documentation in line with FSC and AML/CFT requirements
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Client Risk Assessments (CRAs) and client file reviews
- Perform sanctions screening and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) checks
- Maintain compliance registers and escalate findings or red flags to the Compliance Officer
- Support internal audits, FSC regulatory inspections, and external reviews
- Monitor and report on AML/KYC regulatory developments affecting the global business sector
- Assist in developing and delivering compliance training programmes and materials
- Provide day-to-day operational support to the Compliance Officer and wider compliance function
Who We're Looking For
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- University degree (completed or in progress) in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- A professional qualification such as ICA or ACAMS is an asset, not a prerequisite
Experience
- 1–3 years in compliance, KYC, corporate administration, or a regulated financial services environment
- Exposure to FSC Mauritius regulatory frameworks is advantageous
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, risk-aware mindset
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with compliance management systems is a plus
Languages
- Full professional fluency in English and French — both written and spoken — is essential given our international client base
